Kindergarteners created a watercolor resist. They painted their elephants one color after drawing lines in crayons. First & second graders also created watercolor resists. They painted their elephants one color after drawing lines in oil pastels. They had to paint their background with the complimentary color. 3rd, 4th, & 5th graders created radial flowers and then painted them using analogous (neighbors) and then the complimentary color.
Kindergarten, 1st grade, & 2nd grade are following along with directed-line drawing of elephants. We are adding lines inside. We will use liquid watercolor to paint. 3rd, 4th, & 5th grader’s are creating radial flowers & leaning about analogous & complimentary colors.
In Kindergarten through 5th grade, we are continuing to work on our final projects. Due to testing we miss classes here & there, so some classes are finished and others are still working. As a class finishes, we are building our portfolios. We are also painting rocks for the Kindness Rock Garden here at Franklin Academy sponsored by PTO!
We will continue to work on Cezanne’s Pears in K & 1st, finishing the Monet Birch Trees in 2nd & 3rd, & finalize our Op Art Names in 4th & 5th.
